 Screen Plasma

Definition

A screen plasma is a flat-faced screen whose lighting of the pixels is carried out by the electric exitation of a gas (Argon/Xenon)...

Description

A screen plasma consists of a whole of stamped pixels imprisoned between two substrates out of glass. Each Pixel is composed of 3 gas cells covered with luminophores of each 3 primary color (Rouge/Vert/Bleu is RVB). Each cell has two electrodes connected repectivement to the couple ligne/colonne correspondent to his position in the matrix. The application of an electric signal between these two electrodes causes an electric discharge in gas entrainant the emission of an ultraviolet light. The luminophores covering each cell make it possible to convert these ultraviolet ray radiations into visible light (red, green or blue). The modulation of the electric signal makes it possible to obtain up to 255 values of luminosity for each cell. Each Pixel is composed of three cells (for each primary color), thus enabling him to represent up to 16 million colors (255^3)... Plasma technology is more particularly adapted to the flat-faced screens of large dimensions (beyond 30 inches). It offers a great comfort of use with a high contrast ansi that a great angle of visualization.
