Definition
Operation of handing-over was old tables, consisted of 3 phases: treatment of the support, cleaning and rehabilitation.
Description
treatment of the support: Depending on its state, it can consist of a remounting, but of the interventions minimalists (such as poses parts, bands of tension, incrustation of fabric) can prove to be sufficient. - cleaning: This work is more delicate because it is irreversible. It is necessary to carry out tests in various zones to appreciate which methods cleaning to use. This operation goes from the simple cleansing to a lightening partial of varnish. - rehabilitation: Consist in recreating the image damaged or missing so as to restore its legibility with work as well on the chromatic level as in the field of the forms. It is carried out in three phases: the cementing which makes it possible to recreate the structure and the thickness of the pictorial matter and to obtain a relief identical to the zones which surround it (blow of brush, weaves fabric, pasting...).
