Regionalism
Definition
The objective of regionalism is the assertion of a regional identity and a certain autonomy on the political and economic level.
Description
On the cultural level, regionalism results in the search of a unit and an originality in the artistic and social practices (often gastronomy, music, architectural style etc.) while seeking its justification in the history. On the political and economic level, regionalism induces the introduction of an intermediate level in the system of territorial government, level which as well will replace the local level as with the central capacity in the sectors which are assigned to him.
