Definition
Attached to its computer like the tail of the dog, the nerd (word appeared in the years 1950) is set on data processing which forgets that one could live at one time without this instrument.
Description
The difference between Geek and the nerd is very difficult to seize. The translations of these two elements by a bilingual dictionary give respectively "damaged" and "cretin". The nerd would be thus a cretin who spends his days to be programmed, to optimize his PC, which becomes its Tamagoschi about it, by forgetting the surrounding social life. Associated the figure of the first of class, with the fatty and boutonneux hair, the nerd has a stereotypic representation very strongly anchored in the imaginary one of each one.
