MP3 - Audio MPEG-1 To bush-hammer-3
MP3(abréviation of Audio MPEG-1 To bush-hammer 3) is a format of audio compression numerical, i.e. which it makes it possible to create of the sound files of sizes reduced thanks to the compression of the data.
For example the contents of audio CD can thus be compressed 12 times without loss of the quality of listening. Format MP3 is a "destroying" format of compression: A musical sequence consists of a multitude of sound frequencies, more serious (infrason), until acutest (ultrasound) in inaudible theory for the human ear. At the time of compression, these "extreme" signals are quite simply ignored. A little as if in a symphony orchestra have decided to remove the player of triangle because, too being placed close to a battery, the sound of the triangle was negligible... All in all, one does not realize of nothing even if a part of information disappeared. Studies show that the human ear perceives only the frequencies ranging between 20 Hz and 22.5 Khz. By removing these inaudible frequencies, one reduces the size of the sound files while preserving a comfortable quality of listening. This method is close to that used for the Mini-Disc. Comparison of the principal traditional sound formats: Quality MINOR ROADS 128 Kbit/s, 44 Khz, Stereophony Quality close to that to the MINOR ROADS 96 Kbit/s, 15 Khz, Stereophony Quality Radio operator FM 56 Kbit/s, 11 Khz, Stereophony
