 Laser engraving CO2

Definition

Removal of matter realized by the burn of the beam of a Laser low power, focused in a point of an object.

Description

The LASER beam (Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation) is generated by the excitation of a gas (CO2). As indicates it the English acronym, it is light thus of the energy concentrated in only one beam of a very low diameter. When this beam of parallel light is again tiny room to concentrate in only one point (it is then focused), energy is such as the touched matter is thus burned destroyed if this one is done of a nonmetal material. The Laser CO2 used for the marking of advertising objects like the pens, use same technology as the Laser surgical. In spite of the use of low power of entry (between 30 and 120W), the focusing of the ray in only one point makes it possible to obtain the destructive effect discounted and in more of obtaining this effect on a microscopic surface. This is why the Laser CO2 are tools for engraving of an extreme precision. The repetition of this phenomenon on all surface allows for example the engraving of photographs on wood.
