Retrieval software of contents on PC proposed by Google.
Proposed in version of test per hour when we write this definition (October 2004), the program Google Desktop Search makes it possible to the user to find a document located the its computer, that it acts of an e-mail, of an instantaneous message, a Web page or a Microsoft Office file. This software is under development since 2003 and was known under the name of code "Fluffy Bunny". Google is committed respecting the life deprived by announcing that no data is transmitted at the time of research. Technically, Google Desktop Search rests on an engine able to index dynamically the files Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, the Web pages visualized with with Internet Exploring, the conversations of AOL Instant Messenger, the e-mail of Outlook, Outlook Express, Hotmail and Yahoo Mail. The interface making it possible to use and configure this software is appeared as forms Web (in a way identical to the search engine Google).
