FAKE
One indicates by FAKE a computer file or a whole of data acting like contents, a reference index.
Audio CD for example contain a FAKE at any beginning of reading and indexes inside the number of tracks, their duration and their site in order to facilitate their access. The read head, after having read the FAKE and having obtained the number of the track to be read is placed directly on the latter, without having to traverse the entirety of the disc.
