 Ergonomics

Definition

Seek of better Adaptation between the functionalities of an Internet site and its users. Quality of an Internet site thus conceived.

Description

A Web site is described as ergonomic when it proposes a mode of navigation easy and intuitive allowing to its visitors a catch in fast hand of its functionalities. Ergonomics aims thus at the same time a better effectiveness and a greater comfort of use. Ergonomics uses knowledge resulting from research in the psychological fields (in particular cognitive psychology) and psychophysiologic. It also requires a very good knowledge of the practices most appreciated and most largely used as regards interfaces Web (thus, the Net surfer is accustomed so that a click on the logo or the banner of a site makes him reach the banner page of the site; a site which would not propose this functionality would lose in ergonomics).
