Checksum
The checksum of a file is a sequence of figures and letters defining in a way precise (but nonsingle) a file in order to know if it were faded.
Calculated thanks to a program (generally by using hash MD5) one obtains the
checksum of the file. This one is posted on the site which offers the file in
remote loading. When it was downloaded, one can calculate the checksum to check
that there no were errors at the time of the remote loading.
The checksum can as be diffused in order to check as the file was not faded in a
voluntary way (when this one is in remote loading on several sites).
Google uses also an algorithm of checksum to code the exchanges of information
between its bar of tools and its waiters.
