CMS - Content System Management
A CMS is a software allowing the design and the dynamic update of Web sites or multi-media application.
A tool of "CMS" (Content System Management, in French Management of contents) is a Web site having functionalities of publication and offering in particular an interface of administration (back-office) making it possible to an administrator of site to create or organize the various headings. Ideally, a CMS must have a system of workflow making it possible to a leading team to work simultaneously on the contents of the site and to a person in charge for publication to validate the various contributions before their setting on line. The articles and the contents of the site are stored in theory in a data base, while templates (model of pages) making it possible to define the presentation of the contents.
