Description of the conditions of access and the test for obtaining the diploma of guide interprets regional.
Description
Guide-interprets regional carries on its activity in the area where it obtained its title. To obtain the title of regional it guide-interprets is necessary: - to have been allowed the examination proof organized by the prefect of area. Examination of guide-interprets regional To be registered with the examination: it is necessary: - To be of French nationality or national of a Member State of the European Union or of a country signatory of a convention of reciprocity as regards tourism (third country where the French can reach the same professions and to exert indeed them). - To have the perfect control of the French language and at least a foreign language. - To be titular of a national diploma or State sanctioning a two years cycle of higher studies. The examination is organized at least once every two years. It includes/understands two tests. - First test: Written test of general culture (lasted three hours) This test comprises three obligatory subjects: - a subject on architecture and the inheritance - a subject on the history of the French institutions - a subject on the regional tourist economy of the area presented - Second test: oral test of regional patrimonial culture (lasted: thirty minutes). Comment of an iconographic document related to the regional inheritance for half in French, half in foreign language chosen by the candidate in the list of the languages stopped by the prefect. The candidate having obtained a note equal or higher than 10 out of 20 than the written test is allowed to present himself at the oral test. The candidate having obtained a note equal or higher than 10 out of 20 than the oral test is declared allowed with the examination of guide-interprets regional. The success with the examination involves obtaining the title of guide-interprets regional and the delivery of a professional chart. Inscription with the examination: file to be withdrawn near the regional Delegate with tourism, Prefecture of area Preparation of the examination: to see list of the organizations. NB - the students preparing the BTS of tourism, option local tourist animation and management, can obtain the title of regional GI under certain conditions (notes higher than 12 in certain matters, success of a specific test entitled: Presentation of the cultural and tourist inheritance regional).
